Inspired by the current trend in the industry, i.e. the huge interest in motor yacht charter among people who so far had no experience with such vessels, I decided to illustrate a bit how such cabins look like on the example of our newest yacht in the fleet, i.e. Ferretti Yachts 550.
On the Ferretti Yachts 550 yacht, we have 4 cabins (3 + 1) at our disposal!
Owner’s cabin, i.e. Master – By far the largest of the sleeping cabins available on yachts in the 35 to 100 ft segment. The Master cabin always has individual access to the bathroom. In the case of yachts from the Ferretti group, it is most often located directly under the saloon, where the yacht reaches its greatest width. Wonderfully lit, taking into account the new yacht models, with panoramic windows with tilting portholes. In the Master cabin, you will also find wardrobes, in larger units, there is an office/office. It is a cabin with the most space, the largest bed and the highest ceilings. Importantly, despite the fact that the Master cabin is directly adjacent to the engine room, where the engines and generator work, the soundproofing of the partition wall almost completely eliminates the sounds of these devices.
VIP cabin, which is the second in terms of equipment and size, is a sleeping cabin in a motor yacht. The VIP cabin is most often found in the bow part of the yacht. It is slightly smaller than the master cabin, but still gives a lot of comfort to its users. The name of the cabin in some cases may refer to its shape as it tapers towards the bow and extends towards the stern. The cabin also has direct access to the bathroom, but in this case, the bathroom is also shared (with a different door) to the guest cabin. Of course, let’s not forget about the multitude of lockers, with wardrobes on both sides at the fore, we also have drawers under the bed and other lockers located in different places. An interesting fact about this cabin is the so-called barrel in the ceiling is located there, primarily for safety reasons, and is a direct exit from the VIP cabin to the bow deck. Nothing but to jump out in a bathrobe, with a cup of hot coffee at sunrise, right out of bed!
A guest cabin, i.e. the third cabin available on the Ferretti Yachts 550 yacht, both in terms of the number and size. A cabin with two single beds optionally joined into one large double bed. Here, too, we have a wardrobe and bedside tables at our disposal. We do not have direct access to the toilet, it is provided from the corridor. The cabin also does not use the entire width of the unit, which means that it is lit only from one side. It is a cabin mainly used by children or friends, hence its name.
The last cabin is the so-called skipper, i.e. the captain’s cabin, usually described as +1. This cabin is located at the stern of the yacht and has direct, separated access from the cockpit. A single bed and a toilet with a small shower cubicle allow the captain not to disturb the privacy of the main yacht users. The captain goes to the cabin after completing his duties during the day to rest and to enter the new day full of energy. Interestingly, the cabin is sometimes also used by guests who decide to charter independently (they have licences to drive the yacht by themselves).
This is what the cabins of the Ferretti Yachts 550 motor yacht look like.

Ferretti Yachts 450 Betty (2020) was the most popular Motoryacht this season.
What is the reason? Maybe Mr Makłowicz promoted the yacht in his video!? For sure!
But, Betty is also very well equipped! Grill on the flybridge, seakeeper and joystick to manoeuvre!
Will it be our best-seller also in 2022? Book your charter for season ‘22 now and get the best available dates before they will be booked by someone else.
